Reluctant Android has been out three weeks now and is finally attracting some online reviews. Whew! That period of dead silence was stomach-churning.
The few people who have taken the time to comment have generally been positive about the book, and for the right reasons. Presenting the story from the android’s point of view is supposed to make us think about what it means to be human. As the author, I constantly worried whether that approach was “too deep in the head” to be successful, but apparently, it’s working.
Four is not a large number of reviews, but from another angle, it is enormous compared to zero. If Andy the android can land on his feet, maybe it will be okay to continue with the Newcomers series. See the “Books” tab for planned future releases.
